More Top Awards for Brand Installer, EXTEND PERFORMANCE, at Automotive Content Professionals Network Event
EVANSVILLE, INDIANA— EXTEND PERFORMANCE, a major winner at every Knowledge Exchange Conference it has attended, won its fourth straight year at the world’s largest gathering of automotive content professionals, vendors, and solutions partners. The event is hosted by the Automotive Content Professionals Network (ACPN), a professional society of the Auto Care Association (ACA). Member companies represent all product segments of the automotive aftermarket industry. The conference took place in New Orleans, Louisiana, May 15-18, 2016.
Highlighting the conference are the ACPN President’s Awards for Catalog Excellence. President’s Awards mark the highest level of honor within the organization, and are presented in recognition of the best paper, web, and mobile catalog applications. Doreen Slayter, ACPN President, and Director, Content Services, Advance Auto Parts, elaborates, “The awards ceremonies at the ACPN conference were an integral part of the conference celebrating years of work and an enterprise-wide devotion to quality and precision in publishing automotive content.” She adds, “Congratulations to all the 2016 content award winners.”
EXTEND PERFORMANCE received the 2015-2016 President’s Gold Award in the Web Catalog category for its involvement in the online catalog for MotoRad, a global leader in automotive thermostats and caps. EXTEND PERFORMANCE is the automotive aftermarket branch of the Evansville, Indiana-based EXTEND GROUP. Shawn Collins, EXTEND GROUP Founder and CEO, drives home the significance of his team’s contribution, “For MotoRad, or your brand, for that matter, we’re the performance connection that fuses you with the automotive technician. As the online brand installer, EXTEND PERFORMANCE integrates your eCatalog within your domain-dominate website. Keeping your product catalog connected with your branded, domain-driven website means you’re not losing user traffic; a key factor in keeping your brand competitive.” An additional benefit of the integration process is the creation of the ultimate user experience for the technician, with increased levels of customer engagement and user-friendliness. For example, the MotoRad site contains VIN and license plate lookup tools that streamline the process of performing a parts search. EXTEND PERFORMANCE captured yet another top accolade at the recent ACPN gathering. Shawn Collins acknowledges the recognition, “Congratulations to our client, BCA Bearings for receiving a President’s Award for the stand alone iOS and Android mobile app we created. This is an excellent example of one of our award winning programs; putting the BCA brand, its products, technician training, and additional valued content in front of the customer 24/7/365. We want to thank the ACPN community for recognizing, rewarding, and promoting innovative contributions to the automotive aftermarket industry. ACPN is highly respected and enthusiastically supports training, education, and new technology.”
As previously noted, EXTEND PERFORMANCE has a history of ACPN wins, with brands of all sizes. The company is a 2014 and 2015 recipient of the President’s Gold Award for an eCatalog it created for the world’s largest manufacturer of fuel pumps. EXTEND PERFORMANCE earned the distinction based on its design, navigation, technology, innovation, interactivity, and quality of content for the online catalog, FuelPumpU.com (“Knowledge is Power”). A groundbreaking component of the catalog included online training videos for professional automotive technicians. “We started it, and continue to prove again and again, that training gets results. Our engaged training for the installer puts your brand in their hands—and instills their loyalty in your brand,” reports Collins. He emphasizes, “Every eCatalog represents a training opportunity that can transform a user into a consumer.”
EXTEND PERFORMANCE, recognized nationwide as the definitive innovator in online training, is making industry news with the recent launch of its brand and training initiative, Technician.Academy. Collins elaborates, “Technician.Academy is branded, category-based training for technicians. With just one brand per category selected for Technician.Academy, it’s how we help forward-thinking brands exclusively own their categories.”
