The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office newly launched website saves community members time while fostering peace of mind. Among the time-saving, community-building benefits of the Sheriff’s EXTEND Community Manager site are postings of safety and crime alerts, information for permits and reports, answers to frequently asked questions, plus Recent Bookings and Inmate Search capabilities. The site, which will greatly reduce Q&A calls coming into the department, also serves as a training resource for the community, providing information on internet safety, identity theft, group education programs, and what to do in a traffic stop.
According to Daviess County Sheriff Jerry Harbstreit, “The responsibility of the Sheriff’s Office is to supply professional, ethical and responsive law enforcement to all citizens, businesses, and guests of Daviess County.
