Evansville, IN, January 26, 2018 – Shawn Collins, Founder and CEO of EXTEND GROUP, was added to the Board of Directors of the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville. The Growth Alliance provides support to new and existing businesses in the area to enrich the economic vitality of Evansville and Vanderburgh County, IN.
“The Growth Alliance is a valuable asset for our community, and I’m so honored to have been one of the blessed few voted onto the Board of Directors,” said Shawn Collins. “I am excited to be a part of an organization that recruits and retains talent for the local community. This is something I am passionate about and look forward to applying my gifts and talents to further their many initiatives.”
Shawn is a lifelong advocate of Southern Indiana and an active volunteer in the Evansville-Vanderburgh community. He is a past President of the Board of Directors for Leadership Evansville, as well as past chair of its Communications and Technology committee. Shawn and his company EXTEND GROUP partnered with the City of Evansville and Leadership Evansville to create the VOICE initiative. He was a Charter Member and past President of the Evansville Northside Optimist Club, the Chair of the Indiana Optimist International South District Internet Safety Program, recently served on the Lindsey Wilson College’s Digital Art Advisory Board, and more.
His success in business and involvement in the community led to his accolade as Evansville Business Journal’s Class of 2012 “Twenty under Forty.” Shawn is also a two-time nominee for the Individual Celebration of Leadership Award and received the Individual Celebration of Leadership Award for Outstanding Innovation in 2013. His contributions at EXTEND GROUP have helped their team earn a number of local, regional, national, and international awards as well.
Shawn’s addition to the Growth Alliance’s Board of Directors will help him impact even more people and businesses and enable him to serve the community further.
